CNN: A hotbed of incompetence.

Video from CNN at Crooks and Liars displays CNN Pentagon correspondent and all-round ill-informed person Barbara Starr saying this:

The bottom line Heidi, the US certainly does have intelligence tying these Iranian weapon shipments to Iran's supreme leader— The Ayatollah Khomeini. It's not something that the Bush White House wants to talk about in public too much because they really do not want to ratchet tensions up with Iran. The facts aside.

I went ahead and listened to the video to doublecheck the accuracy of this transcript, which relates to the first few seconds of the video.

She did indeed say "The Ayatollah Khomeini". WHO DIED IN FUCKING 1989.

I would address the rest of her claims, which amount to "The Pentagon told me and I believe them", but I think I've already done enough of that.

Instead, I am going to point out, without resorting too much to all-caps, how GALACTICALLY MOTHERFUCKING STUPID you have to be to place any stock in the reportage of a journalist who asserts that CURRENT FUCKING EVENTS are the responsibility of a man who DIED BEFORE MY TWELFTH FUCKING BIRTHDAY.
