Sorry to continually bring up the Jyllands-Posten cartoons, but finally we see a response on the part of the American government.
And what does our fearless leader do, in the face of these demonstrations which span the Muslim world from Indonesia to Afghanistan to the Middle East?
He blames Syria. Yeah, sure, they're probably responsible for what happened in Syria. Maybe in Lebanon. Afghanistan? Unlikely. Indonesia? Extremely unlikely.
Speaking of responsibility, how responsible is it to turn these attacks on Scandinavian embassies, provoked by a combination of religious intolerance and disaffection with the West, into just another excuse to invade Syria? If anything it will be read abroad as merely a Bismarkian trick carried out by the Danish press as a proxy of the American government; this is already in a way symptomatic of the human inability to tell apart any country that doesn't immediately border your own - essentially the President is wrapping himself in the Danish flag in order to level veiled threats at Syria and Iran. Evidently the American flag isn't good enough for that anymore.

And I'm assuming that our Taylor Buley will enlist for the Syrian adventure shortly after he's finishing looking for WMD at the bottom of a beer bong.
